Despacito was first released by Puerto Rican singer Luis Fonsi in the year 2017 and was the top-streamed track within 6 months. The song was a mix of pop and reggaeton that attracted attention to Latin music but as well reggaeton. In 2015 there were only two mostly songs with Spanish lyrics on the Billboard Top 100 and in 2016 there were four. Despacito's popularity Despacito reached its peak in the year the year 2017. In 2020 the year 2020, 41 mainly Spanish songs are expected to make it into the top 100. Justin Bieber remixed Despacito 2017 as a bilingual rendition. Soon, other artists collaborated with reggaeton superstars including Drake and Bad Bunny with MIA (2018), Madonna and Maluma together with Medellin 2019. The gradual mainstreaming of reggaeton became a concern for some performers in the year 2020. Rauw alejandro and a young generation, however, determined to maintain the style. Rauw Alejandro incorporated electronic dance forms as well as other styles into his music.
