Scarlett Johansson was born on November 22, 1984, at New York City New York. She is an American actor and singer whose talents have earned her recognition in a variety of genres - from thrillers and action films to period dramas. Johansson was born in New York City, and raised there by her architect father and producer mother. Her twin brother Hunter as well as her mother were the youngest siblings. As a child she was able to begin performing. Actually, at 7 years old, she had already auditioned for several commercials. Her interest in acting grew quickly and she enrolled immediately to the Lee Strasberg Theatre Institute. Her debut came as a film actress in North (1994) at the age of nine. At eight, she was a part of Ethan Hawke on Off-Broadway in Sophistry. Johansson was later seen in Just Cause (1995) but her debut came in Manny & Lo (1996) a coming-of-age film about abandoned sisters who escape. Next, she received the praise of critics for playing a teenage girl who had experienced an accident which left her disfigured in The Horse Whisperer (1998). Her popularity grew with the film Ghost World (2002) as the self-deprecating outcast Rebecca. Her fame was based on her role as Nell Jones on the CBS popular show NCIS Los Angeles. The actress is one of the major cast members. Apart from her work on the television show she has also been an actor on stage for several years. She performed with stunning grace in Wildflower as well as other stage productions. Renee Felice Smith's path into the entertainment industry began at a very young age. As a child she discovered her passion for acting. Thanks to the encouragement from her parents, Smith got her first acting job in the age of 6. In a television commercial in which she played Dannon Yogurt. Like many other actresses starting out she decided to hone her craft in the world of theater. While working on different projects in the USA she made her debut on stage in Wildflower. She was a student at in the Stonestreet Studios Conservatory, part of the New York University Tisch School of the Arts.
