Ashley Madekwe and Ashley Leggat
Madekwe is a child of the mixed race family of South London in England. She has a father who is Nigerian and Swiss and her mother is English. Her family was lived in a housing estate run by the council in the south of London. At the age 14she enrolled in The Brit School. In London she attended the Royal Academy of Dramatic Art where her acting certificate was awarded. The stage she appeared in was many productions while attending school like the role of King Henry V, as Princess Katherine as well as Wuthering Heights, as Catherine Earnshaw.
Madekwe began her acting career with the film Storm Damage. In the years since Madekwe's appearance in Teachers and Doctors. Madekwe's debut film is that of the Woody Allen 2007 movie Cassandra's Dream. She starred alongside Colin Farrell & Ewan MacGregor. The film's success resulted in her being cast as Elisha in a one-off BBC Three drama West 10 LDN pilot. Later, she appeared in the six-episode series Trexx & Flipside in the role of Ollie. Madekwe played Bambi as Bambi in the ITV2 drama Secret Diary of a Call Girl. Madekwe was a star in 2008's comedy How to Alienate and Lose Friends. She has performed in Little Sweet Thing, by Roy Williams, and Flight Path which was written by David Watson.
Madekwe debuted in the US with The Beautiful Life. The drama program aired on The CW for only two episodes, but it was removed from the air. In February of 2011, she was cast in the role of Ashley Davenport in the ABC drama series Revenge. Madekwe had appeared in all episodes of the show's initial two seasons as the show's regular. But in May 2013, the word broke that the actress would leave the show after her appearance as a guest on the premiere episode of its third season. In the television series Salem in 2014, she portrayed Tituba in 2014 through the year 2016. Madekwe married her long-time love, Iddo. Both have appeared in Secret Diary of a Call Girl. They have also appeared as partners in Salem.
Ashley Leggat is a Gemini-nominated actress who was raised in an extended family. She was born to Patty and Roy Leggat. Her four older brothers were present as well and included twins Todd and Bram, Brett & Rob. All of her brothers were athletic and played baseball and hockey during the winter and summer months. They grew up playing the arenas and baseball. Ashley did not walk; instead, she was a dancer. In the age of two and half, she found Baby Ballet. Ashley fell in love with dancing at the age of. Ashley competed in top-level divisions in jazz, tap ballet, hip hop, the lyrical musical theatre, acrobatics and pointe until she graduated from high school. She was crowned the top soloist at each of the main dance contests, including, International Dance Challenge, Showstoppers 5-6-7-8 Showtime, Flash Dance, and Dance, Dance, Dance just to mention a few.
