Dina Meyer was born in Forest Hills Queens New York. When she was finishing the junior high school, she moved from Queens to Dix Hills Long Island. Her two brothers are Gregory, her elder brother as well as Evan. In the years between nine and 16 Her first introduction to the industry was when she started modeling. Ron Stetson trained her in the acting techniques of Sanford Meisner at The Neighborhood Playhouse. The process took approximately three years. Sandra Bullock and Michael Douglas were among other actors who received such instruction. She got her first part in the soap opera Beverly Hills, 90210, in which she had to relocate away from Los Angeles. After landing the lead role for Johnny Mnemonic where she did most of the stunts on her own, she established her self as an actor athletic. In addition to Matt LeBlanc's talent agency and agent, she was also responsible for a number of recurring roles on Friends.
