Adele

AdeleAdele Mara (April 28, 1923 to May 7 in 2010) was an American actress, singer , and dancer who appeared in films in the 1940s and 1950s, and in television during the 1950s, 1960s, and then later. Adele St. Mara became her name professionally and she was offered a contract with Columbia Pictures [citation needed[citation required]. She worked on comedy shorts and feature films for Columbia Pictures "B". Then, she was changed to Adele Mara. One of Mara's early roles was as a receptionist for the Three Stooges film I Can Hardly Wait. Mara Brooks and Leslie Brooks were the sisters of Rita Hayworth in the Fred Astaire movie You Were Never Lovelier. Brooks plays Alias Boston Blackie (1942), as the sister to the wrongfully accused and exiled convict. The film was released by Republic Pictures after her Columbia contract was ended. In Republic Pictures, she was a part of Westerns and outdoor adventure. [citation needed] She appeared in The Vampire's Ghost, Wake of the Red Witch with John Wayne, Angel in Exile (leading lady), Sands of Iwo Jima with John Wayne in which she was John Agar's love interests, California Passage (leading lady), and Don Siegel's Count the Hours (supporting role).
